Sideline Safe Emergency Text Alerts

Sideline Safe sends emergency and safety text alerts to adults who are responsible for youth athletes and have opted in: coaches, athletic staff, school administrators, and designated emergency contacts. When a coach or administrator declares a medical or safety emergency for an athlete, each opted-in recipient gets a text saying an emergency is active and what they're being asked to do (for example, call 911 or meet EMS).

Texts never include an athlete's medical information. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and parents and athletes do not receive texts from this program.

Coaches, staff, and administrators opt in inside the Sideline Safe app: when creating their account, or later on their Profile, they enter their own mobile number and check the consent box shown below. The box is unchecked by default, and leaving it unchecked doesn't affect using the app.

Emergency contacts without an account (for example, a principal on the always-notified list) are added by their coach or school admin by name and email only. Sideline Safe emails them a private link; they open it, enter their own mobile number, check the same consent box, and opt in themselves. Listing someone as an emergency contact never enrolls them: nobody is texted until they personally opt in.

After opting in, you get one confirmation text. You can opt out at any time.

Message frequency varies based on emergency activity. You may get no texts for long periods, and several during an active emergency. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email info@sidelinesafe.com. Account holders can also turn alerts off on their Profile. Opting out of texts doesn't close your account.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the subcontractors that deliver the service. Read our full Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
